    Abstract horizons
All of these images are fundamentally a love affair with colour and form.

These abstract images all originate from photographs that were taken of the sun setting above the clouds from an aeroplane.
They began as very vivid and saturated images, which have gone through various processes to enhance the original tones and definition.
The original colouring has also been changed to create unique images that go one step further than the 'Abstracts' collection in terms of blurring the bounderies between photography and painting.

    29th Jan 2005abstracts 2004 (44 images)
These images vary from abstract shots taken in various locations throughout the UK and Europe - through to shots taken at night with slow shutter speeds capturing reflecting light over water.
some of these have been digitally enhanced, whereas some are untouched.
the emphasis is to move away from photography as a reportage or social comment, and to blur the line between documenting what you see and exploring everyday objects and moments.
Taking the image further, and bringing a photograph back to its painterly roots - creating a hybrid between representational and abstract art.
    29th Jan 2005Seascapes (22 images)
these images were predominately taken from mainland Greece, though a few are from the British coastline also
    12th Apr 2005The spaces inbetween (28 images)
These images have been taken in several european cities.
They are close-ups that highlight the contrast in texture and colour, creating pure abstract pieces.
By going in close their original identity has been removed, but they exist everywhere, you just have to look closer....
These images are all shot on film, and have no post manipulation.
    27th Oct 2005Urban Gems (21 images)
    30th Jan 2005various (47 images)
This collection contains various images, from flora to objects - and anything else that might grab my attention whilst out and about.
    Taken in various European locations.
